Stevens Standard 38 Four Blades with inside frame
Notice frame with T-1 steel 1/2" thick welded to top and bottom of frame.
Also notice hinge assembly with 7 layers of T-1 steel overlapping
each other to stop hinge from tilting and wearing out.
All levels are greasable. This spade has dug around 15,000 trees
and frame and hinge still look like new.
Wear pads are either nylotron or aluminum bronze.
We now weld T-1 strips on front and back of blade towers
further making it superstrong.
This is top cap cylinder hookup. Notice how strong it is.
The cylinder ear has a backup mechanical fix eliminating any
chance of it breaking off in hard digging. It looks light but it is super strong.
This is a closeup of blade slide. It is made from a piece of tubing with
1/2" wall thickness. Notice multiple pass welding and additional support
gusset which secures blade to this slide assembly. This model has
aluminum bronze wear pads secured with silicon bronze bolts bolts
which are replaceable externally without taking blades off.
